About ENVision

History of ENVision

In the mid 90's, we recognized the need and challenge of developing an Unfunded Environmental Liability (UEL) estimate in the early stages of an environmental remediation project. At the same time, the U.S. Navy was seeking just such a solution. So we began developing a set of cost models called the Cost-To-Complete (CTC) models and implemented them in the U.S. Navy's UEL budget program.

Over the past decade we continued to improve on and expand these models. The CTC models gained wider adoption as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) started using them to manage their UEL budget. These models continue to serve a critical role in managing NASA's $1B environmental liability budget.

With a long history of research, development, and successful application at the U.S. Navy, NASA, and other Government agencies, such as the U.S. Coast Guard, we decided to take ENVision to the industry. To meet industry requirements, we worked with developers of the IDEAL cost modeling platform to offer industry rapid deployment and multiple options for accessing ENVision.

Now both government and industry can benefit from the decade of research and development we have put into these models. With expert development and support, rapid deployment options, and a multi-tiered licensing structure, government and industry can estimate their environmental remediation project entire life-cycle in minutes.
