Why do we beta test?

We are rolling out a library of environmental cleanup cost models for a wide range of cleanup technologies. Before we release a model we run them through beta tests; testing with real-world use cases to see how the models perform and where they can be improved before final release.

What we want from beta testing?

Work with knowledgeable people

Beta testing is a great chance to get feedback from you. We’re always excited to work with people that make their living in environmental cleanup and/or estimation. It is our goal, after all, to build something actually useful that can contribute to the great work done to clean up our environment.

Find & Fix Issues

We hope to identify bugs with the models. Beta testing is one of our best chances to find bugs and issues before full release. While our initial testing can uncover the majority of problems, there is nothing like real users trying to use our models to identify what we may have missed.

What you get?

You get to be some of the first to try out a new model and to contribute to it’s development. You also get this access for free while beta testing. If you continue as a contributor after release you are eligible for other discounts going forward.

The early stage estimating tools available for environmental cleanup are limited. Help us build something that can make a difference in this space.

You should know

Here are some things you should keep in mind:

  1. The product being tested is still in development, and there may be bugs, errors, and other issues that could impact its functionality.
  2. Data loss or corruption is possible during testing, so testers should save locally any important data and be prepared for the possibility of data loss.
  3. Our app, while in beta, may not have all of the features or functionality that are planned for the final release, and some features may not work as expected.
  4. Beta testing may require more time and effort than using a finished product, as testers are expected to provide feedback and report any issues encountered.

Overall, beta testing is a great opportunity to provide valuable feedback and help shape the final product, but testers should be aware of the potential risks and limitations of participating in the testing process.
